PCs Not Loading Properly (CloudSync Hash Issue)

Issue: After Logging into Windows the taskbar won't load and various Microsoft services and/or various applications won't work.

     

Solution pt. 1:

Restart your PC by selecting the power symbol and clicking "Restart"

on the login screen select "Other User"

enter your username and password to login

 

 

If the PC says "incorrect password" you will need to reset your password.

 

 

Solution pt. 2: 

If you have Microsoft Authenticator:

  • Open Authenticator and select you Monrovia account

  • Under the one-time password, you will see an option to "Change password"

  • Type in your new password (that meets the complexity requirements) and type it in a second time to confirm it.

If you cannot reset your password from your phone, contact IT to reset it for you.

Restart you PC again (this will also give your new password time to propagate)
Select "Other User" and enter your username and new password
If your password reset had propagated, you will now login like normal

 

*** if your password was reset by IT, it will ask you to create a new password during one of the following login steps. 

*** After you create the new password log out of windows and log back in with your new password.

*** This is to make sure the R Drive it functioning correctly. After this you can continue using your PIN/fingerprint etc..

 

  • Once you have logged in with your new password you will likely need to verify your work account
    • Make sure Cato is connected if you are not at the office.
    • Select the search button

    • on the top right of the box is an icon with your profile picture or initial

    • You may receive a prompt to verify your account, otherwise select the icon and click the button to verify account

    • Sign into your Monrovia account

  • Once you have verified your account login to the following accounts to make sure everything is back working:
    • Microsoft Edge

    • OneDrive

    • Outlook

    • Zoom -> using SSO
